Educational Consulting Services

I love meeting families and offer various consulting options according to parental preference which all start with an initial meeting either in person or online. This can be a one off consultation to help with something specific or the start of longer term support and intervention.

  • Home Intervention

Life can sometimes be tough for your neurodiverse child who is often experiencing sensory overwhelm, transitions within the day and the need to conform. I enjoy suggesting often simple solutions which can have a hugely positive impact on your child and the whole family.

  • Educational Setting

I am passionate about helping parents find the best place for children to thrive. Having supported neurodiverse children in many settings I have seen how learning progresses once a child is in an environment that suits them. I offer advice on the suitability and limitations of mainstream, specialist schools and home schooling.

  • School Visits

It can be difficult to know what to look for and what questions to ask when looking around an educational setting for your child with additional needs. I can help prepare you in advance, accompany you or conduct these visits myself and report back with my recommendations.

  • Partnering with Educators

I am able to advise teachers or schools and liaise with the SENCO on how your child’s needs can best be accommodated in and out of the classroom so that they are able to learn and succeed in their setting both academically and socially.

  • Diagnosis Support

It is often the case that children are under-diagnosed and under-provisioned which can impact the help your child receives. I can make recommendations around further diagnosis and the extra help that your child may be entitled to.
